The Office Manager will provide critical administrative and fundraising support for Farrington Nature Linc (FNL). We are looking for a mission-focused, highly organized, detail-oriented, seasoned, process-minded team member with experience in bookkeeping, administration, database management, and facilities management. This person should have great people skills, emotional intelligence, and the ability to deliver measurable, cost-effective results.
Established in the early 1900’s, our mission is to enhance the well-being of children from low-income communities through a connection with the natural world. Our 75 acres of woodlands, fields and ponds near Boston are dedicated to providing respite and inspiration for children who might not otherwise have this opportunity. We envision a world in which every child has access to nature; every child learns that nature is a powerful source of health and happiness; and every child believes that stewardship of nature strengthens communities.

Order and maintain supplies and equipment (including printer/copier, square reader, laptops, program supplies)
Manage all paper and electronic files
Process all mail
Comfort with technology to take on basic tasks such as software installation and setup, and troubleshooting
Manage bookkeeping in QuickBooks and payroll via ADP
Manage entries, reports, templates and tracking in donor database.
Purchase items needed for events (food, paper goods, supplies)
Provide assistance with other fundraising and development tasks
High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Drive, Mac and PC software, experience with QuickBooks or other bookkeeping software.
Organization, detail-oriented work, problem solving
Multitasking, shifting attention from one project to another
Communication and customer service (verbal and written skills)
Handling a high volume of work and delivering high-quality results in an efficient manner
1+ years in office administration
Financial and organizational management in nonprofits
Professionalism with discretion in managing confidential information
Maturity, humility, excellent work ethic, enthusiasm, positivity, “roll-up-my-sleeves” attitude, and sense of humor
Comfortable working in a small, shared office space
Ability to lift/move objects weighing up to 30 pounds several feet
Visual and auditory ability to respond to critical incidents and ability to direct others in appropriately responding to emergencies
Physical ability to negotiate hilly terrain, dirt roads and dirt, and gravel trails, and to respond quickly to situations requiring immediate action
Valid driver’s license, personal automobile insurance, safe driving record, and regular access to a car
Farrington will provide a laptop but we will require use of your private cell phone. You will be reimbursed for use.
