Farrington Nature Linc currently serves close to 2,500 youth a year through our immersive nature introduction and exploration programs.

FY18 was a year of transition for the Farrington Nature Linc program as mid-year we said goodbye to Farrington’s Program Director of five years, Brianne Studer, and hired a new Program Director, Sarah Kacevich, near the end of FY18. We created 2,076 individual youth experiences in nature and had 12,951 youth contact hours.

The Summer 2017 continued to be a strong one for Summer Field Trip program. We engaged 665 youth on our property for day long adventures of hiking, ponding, gardening and meeting our farm animals. We hosted 6 overnights for groups who desired a longer, more immersive experience including a campfire and night in a tent under the stars.

During the two school vacation weeks (April and February) we hosted 8 groups with a total of 245 children.

In FY18 we continued to develop our afterschool programs by working with two Cambridge Community Schools, Morse and Fletcher Maynard, Lincoln Metco and the Waltham Boys & Girls Club. We had 528 youth contacts through our Explore afterschool locations.
