Summer Field Trips at Nature Linc
This summer, Nature Linc’s site was abuzz with activity, laughter, teens, and children. From July to early August, the FNL team hosted 13 field trip groups, providing 351 different kids with fabulous nature experiences. For many of the children, this was their first time hiking, petting a goat and a bunny, smelling fresh herbs in a garden, or building stick forts in the woods.
The overall kid favorite activity had to be meeting the farm animals: sweet goats Jeremy and Biscuit, and lovable bunny Tostada. Working outside in the summer carries beauty, but also frequent unpredictable challenges. Through heat waves, surprise thunderstorms, and yellow jacket nests, the team handled it all with grace, keeping kids safe, and providing them with super fun, memorable experiences at Nature Linc.
