Summer 2026 was a success!
We were thrilled to relaunch our summer Teen Leadership Program with a cohort of nine students enrolled in the Cambridge Mayor’s Summer Youth Employment Program (MSYEP) as well as three alumni from our Somerville middle school program. We provided opportunites for our teen leaders to develop job readiness skills, learn about environmental justice issues, focus on their mental health, speak with professionals in a career panel, go on bigger adventures, and so much more!
We also welcome over 15 community partners for one-day field trips at our site in Lincoln. For many groups coming out, this is their first experience with “big nature” and it’s a joyful experience to introduce them to the bunnies and sheep, playing in the woods and eating s’mores.
Finally, we also lead community-based programs in Framingham, Somerville and Cambridge. Through these summer programs we provide nature-based education to youth in grades K-5 in green spaces at the local schools.
