Farrington gets a facelift

[slideshow id=1] Farrington's Activity barn has received some much need TLC this spring! For many of you familiar with the historic barn you probably noticed how much it seemed to weather over the past few years. This spring it received a much needed facelift! Here are some before and after pictures to help you marvel with us at the complete transformation!

The first job was complete removal of the wood siding, fixing underlying layers and then residing with cedar clapboards.(Thank you Dan Cordon of DC Carpenters!)

Then on to painting- inside and out!

Farrington was lucky enough to be chosen as a location for a Boston Cares work location for their Corporate Volunteer Day.

Forty-six amazing volunteers from TJX Corporation came out to Farrington on May 19th to help us bring the barn into spit spot shape. They painted the exterior, the interior and helped with other projects like rebuilding the sheep and goat pen and building picnic tables.

We could not have done this work without their help and Farrington now looks amazing and is ready for the summer program to start on July 2!

Thank you to all our new TJX and Boston Cares friends!
